Hidden Story 2024 Pinot Grigio - 12 Pack

VINEYARD REGION: Victoria

THE WINE: The nose offers up Bosc pear, Granny Smith apple, citrus skin, candied ginger and marigold notes. The vibrant palate displays flavours of Nashi pear, golden delicious apples and fresh almonds along with subtle layers of fresh quince. The bright acid backbone complements the refined fruit leading to a crisp, balanced finish.

THE WINEMAKING: The 2024 Hidden Story Pinot Grigio was picked in the autumn of mid March. The grapes were drained off prior to going to press to preserve the light zesty juice. The grapes were then pressed lightly and oxidatively handled to remove the naturally occurring colour to produce a wine with a bright hue. The wine was then clarified, inoculated with specially selected yeast and fermented at cool 15 - 16°C. The ferment progressed steady and clean over a period of 20 days, after which the wine was chilled and allowed to mature unhindered in tank for 9 months before being prepared for bottling with minimal filtration and fining.

FOOD MATCHES: An excellent match with pan fried whiting, and a crunchy sauté garlic olive oil broccolini.
